Lean Six Sigma Public Training from SigmaPro
SigmaPro’s Lean Six Sigma public (open) training programmes cover all levels of business improvement, from awareness, through foundation practitioner, up to Master Black Belt level. We use the Six Sigma Belt system so students can become certified as Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belts.
Our Lean Six Sigma Champion training is aimed at managers and executives, and explains how to go about developing a sustainable approach to improvement or, to use a Lean Six Sigma phrase, how to go about deployment. In this programme we give an overview of the Sigmapro approach to Lean Six Sigma, explain how to assess an organisation and make the business case for change, and give a clear 5 phase process to follow.
Our Lean Six Sigma Black Belt programme runs over 4 months and is aimed at high performers, those people who need to work on projects, and want to learn the full improvement toolkit, including Lean, Six Sigma and change management techniques. We encourage students to run a real project as part of the programme that generates an early return on the training investment for the company and helps embed learning for the student.
To become a certified Sigmapro Black Belt requires completing the training, passing an exam and carrying out two projects. It’s not an easy option, and not for everyone, but for those who aspire to be the best and are prepared to devote time and effort to study and carry out projects, the benefits can be exceptional. We recently carried out a survey of SigmaPro students and found the average value of a project to be £121,000. Many Sigmapro students have gone on to achieve great things since training.
Ultimately the value of the training comes down to the quality of the materials and the quality of the trainers. The curriculum we use has been developed over the last 15 years, our trainers are certified Master Black Belts, they all have in depth knowledge of practically applying the tools and methods, and have worked extensively in Lean Six Sigma for at least 15 years.
