Our People
We would like to take the opportunity to introduce you to some of our people. They are responsible for delivering our Lean Six Sigma improvement programmes, either delivered as in-house training and consulting, or through our public programmes.
Chris Rees - Director of UK Operations
Chris is a trained Six Sigma Black Belt, and has developed and delivered training on such subjects as Six Sigma, TQM, IS09000, TS16949, Business Process Improvement, Process Auditing and many others. His consulting activities have included implementing management systems to meet ISO9001 and TS16949, setting up business improvement and lean programmes for both large and small organisations, developing business strategies and supporting project teams on many initiatives.
Prior to joining SigmaPro he was a Director of Systems Advance, and was instrumental in developing and implementing improvement programmes for various companies including Rainford Group, Caradon Mira, Moss Plastic Parts, and Lucas Automotive. Chris has a BSc in Mechanical Engineering from Birmingham University, and an MBA from Aston Business School in Birmingham. In his spare time Chris enjoys martial arts and tennis.
Bill McIntyre - Master Black Belt
Bill McIntyre is an experienced Master Black Belt and consultant with in depth knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma. Bill has provided Lean and Six Sigma training and consultancy to businesses across the world, including Vestas Wind Systems, Schering Plough, RAC, BT, Network Rail and Barclaycard.
Prior to joining SigmaPro, Bill was Head of Business Improvement and Six Sigma for BSI leading a team of 5 Master Black Belts. Bill also has experience in leading functions in materials management and storage & distribution.
Kevin Holmes - Master Black Belt
Kevin Holmes is a certified SigmaPro Lean/dMAIC Six Sigma Black Belt and Design for Six Sigma Master Black Belt. Kevin has added significant value to many Six Sigma deployments by mentoring Black Belts and accelerating projects through dMAIC and DfSS phases. Kevin is an experienced, highly respected trainer who has taught Lean / dMAIC and DfSS methodologies to hundreds of Executives, Black Belts and Green Belts across Europe.
Prior to joining SigmaPro, Kevin worked for Textron as a Six Sigma Black Belt, and was previously head of UK Sales for Textron. Prior to this, Kevin worked for Stanadyne Automotive Corporation. Kevin has a BSc in Engineering from the University of Exeter, and an MBA from Bradford University.
Stephen Mathews - Leadership and Change Management Consultant
Stephen Mathews has more than 30 years' experience leading people development and corporate organisational improvement programmes.
Stephen's particular area of expertise is helping individuals and groups to improve the way they manage relationships to improve performance. He has gained a reputation for both an effective and efficient approach to Business Psychology through a variety of feedback methods in groups, between peers and in 1:1 mentoring to improve individual levels of satisfaction and the contribution of teams.
Using his unique skill set with board members, senior management teams, and individuals, Stephen enables successful organisational culture change, high performance team development and leadership development.
Stephen has worked worldwide, with companies of all sizes, in support of a wide range of business improvement initiatives, such as: Strategy Development and Implementation, Business Excellence, Six Sigma, Process Redesign, and Performance Enhancement. Stephen's business experience spans fields as diverse as: petrochemicals, pharmaceuticals, banking, defence, education, food, engineering, telecommunications, and the public sector.
Dr David Cowburn - Lean Six Sigma Specialist
David has 25 years of running companies to Managing Director level and is experienced in utilising Lean Six Sigma in a wide variety of businesses including, manufacturing, process industry, service, and administrative.
In a people based hands-on style, he works and trains at all levels in an organisation from Board to shop floor to bring about rapid measurable step changes in performance.
David was originally trained in the Toyota Production System and has since developed a high level blend of Lean and Six Sigma philosophies and tools through working with businesses all around the World.
Chris Rhodes
Chris has over 35 years experience leading and managing sales and marketing teams at a global level. He has helped implement Six Sigma for growth at large multinational companies with industry and geographically diverse sales organisations.
His particular area of expertise is the Sales and marketing process where he has managed teams on a global basis in the areas of Global account management; field sales; account management by phone; telephone sales; telemarketing; customer service; new business development and new product launches. Chris has knowledge and extensive experience in the areas of salesforce performance; sales training; pricing; new product launches; customer surveys and loyalty programmes.
Chris has worked worldwide implementing and improving strategy development, growth enhancement and sales process improvement programmes as well as being responsible for the effective development and use of CRM’s systems in marketing and sales.
He has recently stepped down from his role as Director of business development for SKF to focus on Consultancy in the UK market.
